--- Comment #25 from Jos Visser <[email protected]> --- Thanks guys for the information - you are light-years in front of me. My apologies should I have offended anyone. Hope you understand my frustration. As an accounting pro I switched from Windows to Ubuntu at my retirement, got involved with community welfare projects, and happily used Gnucash where I saved the data in a MySQL database and from there used Librebase to design my own reports as Gnucash reports are poor and do not provide for yearly comparisons. Until Ubuntu 12.04 came !!!!!! (My Ubuntu system is updated (and upgraded) daily) Since then I have not been able to use Librebase at all and had to switch back to Windows. Launchpad bug no 992232 gives a fair account of the problem which has been with us ever since. I have again repeated the steps in comment no 48 this morning with the same sad result. Please also note that all the installations of Ubuntu (12.04 and 12,10) I have done with a clean install. I have noted this morning that the pre-releases PPA (see comment 48) only installs the alpha1 version and not the beta version someone mentioned. I am not sure what other information I can give you. Ubuntu Quantal on a 32bit machine. Regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
