Priority: medium
Bug ID: 58408
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: VIEWING: When Freeze is active and scrolling with
mouse-wheel, the area under the "Row xx" tooltip is
redrawn wrongly
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.6.4.3 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 71646

Attached is a screencast showing the bug.
Consider a colourful spreadsheet with the "Freeze" function active with respect
to some cell. When scrolling up or down, the tooltip "Row xx" with the number
of the topmost row of the frozen sub-window appears. But the area that is
scrolled away from under the tooltip is redrawn in a wrong way (seems to be
somewhat shifted).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet
2. Select all (or most) visible rows
3. Format → AutoFormat → Turquoise → OK
4. Click on cell B2
5. Window → Freeze
6. Scroll using the mouse-wheel
Current behavior:
The columns on the right where the "Row xx" tooltips appear will be coloured
unevenly. In addition, if some text has been added to the columns, it will also
be misrendered. Interestingly, scrolling using the scrollbars seems to work
fine, although a glimpse of some wrong rendering can be seen for a few
milliseconds after each notch of scrolling.
See the attached screencast for details. It has been recorded using LibreOffice
3.6.3.2 using the GTK+ Murrine Gilouche theme under Gentoo Linux. There,
selecting any part of the misrendered column corrects the rendering; in 3.6.4.3
one has to select an area quite close to the specific misrendering.
Expected behavior:
Tooltips should disappear without disturbing the areas under them.
Operating System: Linux (Other)
