I added a sample of what is happening all the time.
Stage I: I have written a piece of commentary with lemmata in bold type and
Latin words in italics.
Stage II: I select a fragment of it, which I drag and drop (with the mouse)
elsewhere, in this case inserting it in the first sentence.
Stage III: The fragment will show up with random letters/words in italics or
bold.
P.S. The font size is not stable either: sometimes parts will appear in smaller
font.
