registrymodifications.xcu is always there, if not it is redone with default
values.
Their corruption sometimes happen with upgrading. And yes it is no easy to
analyze.
It contains mainly the options in Menu/Tool/Options.
You can attach the file, and then we must wait for someone that can analyze it.
