If you add this to your changed code after the call to CGBitmapContextCreate():
SAL_DEBUG("maBitmapContext.get()=" << maBitmapContext.get());
you will see that the call actually fails. So is this much of the complexity in
there actually unnecessary? Mind-boggling...
