Starting in LO safe mode does not work.
I opened Draw to create a new illustration. The new file opened in the same
fashion as the Writer screenshot attached to this bug report. Also, the zoom
function did not work.
I restarted LO in safe mode, but the result was the same as the screenshot.
I think there is a compatibility problem between LO and macOS Big Sur and needs
investigating.
