Absolutely. And also it has nothing to do with vertical position on screen, so
e.g. in case of two-column layout, a selection chunk starting at the bottom of
the first column, and ending somewhere at the top of the second column, will
consider the point at the bottom of the first column (even though it is
vertically lower); my wording "topmost" may be confusing. You made it correct,
when wrote "sequential position in the document".
