Priority: medium
Bug ID: 60713
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: saving large spreadsheet crashes LO
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.0.3 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Using the attachment to Bug 36689, I'm able to crash LO 4.0.0.3. At a first
guess, the file is just plain too big, and overflowing something during save.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open sumproduct_slow.ods
2. Copy rows 2 through 13,820 (13819 rows) of sheet 'NODA NEEDS'.
Make sure to select the entire row. (I'm a fan of
Ctrl+Shift+End, Ctrl+Shift+Right)
3. Select cells A2:A500000. I do this by typing 'A2:A500000' in the
cell name bar just above the left corner of the spreadsheet view.
(Does that input box have a name?)
4. Ctrl+V
5. 'Save As' to a new file. I chose 'sumproduct_slow_big.ods'
LO now aborts after a few seconds, saying only this in the terminal:
$ libreoffice4.0
pure virtual method called
terminate called without an active exception
$
Given outside information, I'm ready to accept that I may have a botched
installation (installed via 'dpkg -i *.deb' of the LO 4.0.0.3 x86_64 tarball).
However, I can recreate this after two attempts at such an installation.
Hmm.
FWIW
