          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 61520
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Calc freezes while opening a data validity
                    list in a cell
          Severity: major
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: NEW
           Version: 4.0.0.3 release
         Component: Spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 75589
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=75589&action=edit
test XLS file

How to reproduce:

(1) In Calc open the XLS file in the attachment created with MS Office 2003. On
Sheet2 it has a couple of values in the first column. The values are named as
list_data cell range. The first cell (A1) on Sheet1 has data validation enabled
that allows only values from the list_data cell range.

(2) Click the drop-down list in the A1 cell in order to select a value from the
list. Calc freezes at once (does not respond to any keyboard or mouse command)
and causes high CPU usage.

I tested this in LibreOffice 4.0 on MS Windows 7 64-bit and in LibreOffice
3.6.5 on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit.
