I have located the Default Style / Cell Protection setting, but I have to say, it's pretty obscure: F11, Right-Click "Default", Modify etc. It would be good for that to be less buried: e.g. "Cell Style" could be right in the tree under "Default". I realize a User Interface gripe is not the main topic here, but there is a connection.
