File to reproduce missing gradient
A document with gradient page background fill is imported as solid fill
although LibreOffice is able to use gradient page background.
Open attached file in Word and in Writer and compare the background.
I see the error in Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

So it is likely a missing feature. Version 4 was not able to render gradient
background fill.
