--- Comment #4 from Albert Acer <albac...@gmail.com> ---
I personally do not share Ricardo M. Morales' appreciation regarding the use of
"Zum" instead of "Zoom" for LibreOffice applications in Spanish.

It happens that we, native Spanish speakers, are possibly not yet ready to see
the word "Zum" as an adaptation of the term "Zoom" in Spanish software
applications.

Paradoxically, "Zoom" is too deeply rooted in our collective subconscious. That
is why we continue to resist change. Although this resistance to change is also
due to our lack of knowledge and research.

If we do a little research, we can learn that "Zum" was included in the
"Diccionario panhispánico de dudas 2005" of the RAE (Real Academia de la Lengua
Española).

https://dle.rae.es/zum?m=form

However, no other software had dared to break the paradigm and apply the
change. So there is no mistake in translating "Zoom" as "Zum" in Spanish.

In conclusion, if we, native Spanish speakers, are not yet psychologically
prepared to use "Zum" instead of "Zoom" then Libreoffice should continue using
"Zoom" for some more time.
