I can reproduce the icon issue on Ubuntu 20.04 with GNOME 3.36.8but only with alternative UIs: - Tabbed - Tabbed Compact - Groupedbar Compact - Contextual Single But it does switch the icon theme when using "Standard Toolbar", "Single Toolbar" and "Sidebar". Do you see the same? I have previously reported in bug 153618 that the icon theme does not change to one suitable to dark mode when GNOME is in dark mode. (i.e. in Automatic mode) Regarding the background colour of the UI, I can't make it overwrite the default dark colours that the desktop environment uses. Using "Light" in View Mode keeps the dark grey theme. Which desktop environment are you using, Brian? Caolán, do you also see these three issues? - Icon switch failing for alternative UIs - LO's Light view mode does not overwrite GNOME's UI - Icon switch failing on Automatic mode (bug 153618) Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143344 [Bug 143344] [META] Linux Dark Mode bugs and enhancements -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
