Bug ID: 153881
Summary: Impress in full screen presentation mode displays a
non existing white line on the lower and right edges
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.5.1.2 rc
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Create a 16:9 presentation document, change the background to black (or any
other color different from white), then start full screen presentation on a PC
with a 1980x1020 screen. On the lower edge and on the right edge you will see a
white line of pixel that were not intended to be there, as the full screen
should be black (or the other color you chose as background).
This is a regression: I did the same thing on LO 6.1 and did not experience the
problem.
No fiddling with options regarding Skia or hardware acceleration for rendering
appears to change this behaviour.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a 16:9 presentation document, change the background to black (or any
other color different from white), then start full screen presentation on a PC
with a 1980x1020 screen.
2.On the lower edge and on the right edge you will see a white line of pixel
that were not intended to be there, as the full screen should be black (or the
other color you chose as background).
3.Please compare the two attached screen capture (made with LO7.1.5 and LO 6.1)
to check the nature of the malfunction and its nature of regression.
Actual Results:
The full screen presentation with color background has a white edge on the
lower-right side.
The only workaround I found is to create a rectangle object of the desired
color, make it somewhat bigger than the screen size (the default 16:9 screen is
28*15.75 cm, so make it 28,1*15.81)and place it behind any other object with
the upper left corner at (0;0) position. This way the object goes beyond the
page limits on the lower and right sides, and when you start the full screen
presentation this hides the unwanted white lines. Quinte awkward indeed.
Expected Results:
The full screen presentation should be fully black or whatever color you chose
Reproducible: Always
