The vertical scrollbars do not work or have severe problems under Mint 13 Mate
and their ^ and v arrows are missing. This comes from an incompatibility with
Mint's default scrollbars. Installing the package overlay/liboverlay is not a
good solution because it does not work well with Mint. You should develop your
own classic scrollbars for OpenOffice in order to avoid the compatibility
problems caused by the exotic ones which more and more often come with the new
distros.
