I installed GPGTools from gpgtools.org, created a GPG certificate using the "gpg --full-generate-key" Terminal command and set a password for the certificate. After that, I saved a new Writer document, checked the "Encrypt with GPG key" in the native Save dialog, the "Select Certificate" dialog appeared with my certificate in the list, selected my certificate and the file was saved successfully. After restarting LibreOffice, opening the saved file causes GPGTools to display a password dialog.
