I am trying to close this bug BUT incredibly enough this has been a problem since 2010!!!

For some reason, there is a reference to a link in the Readme file -> [http://www.libreoffice.org/welcome/readme.html] that points to an non-existing page on our site.

Like it was mentioned in 2010, SilverStripe does not create .html pages per se, but creates links to pages. So, Silverstripe cannot create pages with an extension of ".html". The link reference in the "readme" needs to be changed. Is there a way to change the link mentioned in the " readme" file to point to this page that I have created for it here [https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/readme]?

ALSO, what is the real purpose of the "readme" file on our website? I can only see it as a direct copy of the "readme" file in the download package. It contains information on how to install the packages, but I don't see a need to put this on our site as our "Get Help->Installation" section has all of the information a user needs for installation. The readme file also has other information that is easily found on our website.

Do we really need a copy of the readme on the site?

IMO, the line in the readme file that references [http://www.libreoffice.org/welcome/readme.html] SHOULD BE ERASED. There is no real purpose in doubling it on our website. IT WOULD ALSO NEED TO BE DELETED FROM ALL OF THE NATIVE LANGUAGE "README" FILES as it apparently is referenced in these files as well!

FINALLY, I strongly suggest to have that sentence (below) deleted from ALL readme files (the EN and native language readme's --> it is the first sentence at the top of the "readme" file).:

"For latest updates to this readme file, see http://www.libreoffice.org/welcome/readme.html";

IMO it would be important to push this for v.4.0.
