@Pedro, @Norbert I think you are both missing the point. This announce simply demarks a point of the 4.1.0.0alpha0 QA work from the TinderBox buildbot (or self compiled) builds to an "official" LibreOffice 4.1.0.0alpha1 snapshot build.
The Windows build for example, available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/win/x86/ will actually be signed by The Document Foundation as opposed to TinderBox. Nothing really changes, the daily builds of master will continue to be built, and most folks will pull from TinderBox--but bug issues will be tracked relative to this 4.1.0.0alpha1 build point. I.e. unless bibsecting folks should rebase to the "official" alpha or to newer TB builds of master. TB or self builds of master, e.g. 4.1.0.0alpha0, should be retired. As an aside, I agree that the issues of fdo#58034 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58034> are a nuisance. Fixing the EXTRA_BUILDID details in the incremental daily builds would be helpful, but it does not prevent the effective use of the daily builds for QA. Making the git commit ID directly available in the installer packaging would be a convenience--for Windows builds that would be in the .MSI as a Property table entry or perhaps in the Summary Information comments to supplement the CLSID/GUID -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Libreoffice-qa-ANNOUNCE-libreoffice-4-1-0-0-alpha1-tag-created-tp4054044p4055199.html Sent from the QA mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
