Also, I seem to get the following warnings in config.log, not sure if this
something I should be worried about, and if I require some specific version
of gcc to get the build going for iOS:

checking for gcc... gcc

*configure: WARNING: using cross tools not prefixed with host triplet*

checking whether the C compiler works... yes
