I had the time to do some research and this is what i found out, using
information gathered by noscript:
There a scripts of lesser importance that you can safely block, without
breaking the site.
I am not sure what exactly these scripts do, i only know that one of
them is tracking your location.
If you search the google+ developers API, it is full of sample software
published under the creative commond Attribution 3.0 and Apache 2.0
License, but i am not up to date, so i am not sure if they are free (?),
if that answers your question, if they encourage the use of proprietary
scripts and embeddings.
