Thanks Michael,
I use a Garmin 3+ that works up to 900k or so.. most I've ever seen was
605... great tailwind!
I have been using a program called Precision Mapping... works OK but
doesn't have any features for flying. We got the G3 for our motorhome
before we got the a/c.. I mostly fly low and slow now and just wander
around that's why a program or unit that will alert me to airspace is
necessary. I am always sightseeing and don't pay much attention to maps,
etc. With an alarm I'd feel safer, etc. and probably be much less of a
hazard to others!
I've heard the Street Atlas is a good program and will probably try it this
summer. We have MS Streets but I can't get it to work well with the gps..
probably just me.
Thanks though.
