You are partially correct. From the 50CT up to the Libretto 100/110CT, the sound 
chipset used was the Yamaha OPL3-SA2/3. This chipset did indeed support emulation; in 
fact, it emulated both the SBPro and the Windows Sound System at the same time. On the 
50/60/70CT, the emulation settings were set in the BIOS. This apparantly has been done 
away with on the 100/110, but the default values seem to work fine. (io=0x220 
mss_io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0) In operating systems with native support for the 
OPL3-SA2/3 chipset, you will be able to get 16-bit sound. It works fine for me in 
Linux and Win98, and the output on the 100/110 seems to sound cleaner than the 
50/60/70CT.
