Hi fred,

I use my libretto 100CT for multimedia development (I work on new
technology for Philips).  What I can tell you is that hen I hooked it up
to a decent amp the MP3's sound terrific, with almost no noise even at
maximum gain.  Be careful with the player though.  Winamp is not the
best MP3 sound quality around.  For windows Sonique is pretty good,
although IMHO XMMS anmd mpg123 on Linux can't be beat.
