Fine Neil, make a joke when others are sharing serious information!
Mike, that was real informative, My Dad used the terms 2 bits, 4... , etc.,
and I knew it stood for quarters of a dollar, but was unaware of the Spanish
origine. The only place I recall its' use in the everyday world is a high
school cheer. "Two bits, Fours bits, Six bits, a Dollar. All for (names of
school) stand up and holler."
Now back to broken screens and balky hard drives.
For the International Set, this is a three day weekend in the US. Memorial
Day, remembering the men and women that served our country in the military.
In general the first Summer holiday after school is out and a serious escape
for many families.
In Arizona the Weather Bureau has reserved the hottest day of the year so far
for this day, Expected to reach 113 degrees F.
