I removed the plastic spacers underneath, and didnt have to short any pins to have it work. The only annoyance now is that without installing driver software (which I have yet to find), only 8Gb of the drive can be used in windows. If I cant find a driver (though I know some exist), I will use the remaining 4Gb for Linux. Even with the use of a driver, the Libretto puts its suspend data at what it thinks is the end of the disk (about 8Gb), so to use all the space, 2 partitions are required.
