Subject: off-topic -- downloading pdf files
help -- i'm trying to download the toshiba product brochures which is a .pdf
file. i can download it, but can't figure out how to open it. it shows up
with a word icon on explorer when downloaded to my c: drive. but when i try
to open it, the file is garbage. i've never worked with .pdf files before.
what's the trick???

(just when i'm considering ordering the new and improved portege 3440 to
replace my six month old 3110 -- they entice me with a brand new 3480 -- oh,
what timing -- ).
