Do you use your machine only occasionally or all the time. I found out that
the only time the CMOS battery get charged is when the machine is up and
running. If the machine is shutdown, standby or hibernated, the CMOS battery
does not get charge at all. My solution is disable the automatic
standby/hibernate, and put it in a well ventilated area and keep it running
for 24 hours.
