Hi,
The question of the L50 losing time seems to run much deeper than the cmos
battery IMHO because everyone i know with an L50 has the same problem to
some extent. My solution was to install a tiny utility that sets the system
clock (using a time server of your choice) automatically in the background
whenever you're connected to the 'net. Let me know if you're interested...
Here's the blurb:
CurrentTime will always make sure your PC clock is accurate
by connecting to time servers on the Internet and fetching the
correct time with second precision. If you use a dial-up connection
to reach the Internet, CurrentTime will synchronize the time every
time you connect. With a full-time Internet connection, you choose
the interval for synchronization. Full C source code included.
