Takes about 1 1/2 hours on a 166Mhz PC desktop to install.
Expect it to be a RAM and HD hog - it'll gobble up almost all of the 64MB
just to boot, and take anywhere from 500MB - 1GB of HD space (vs. 10-12MB for
Win95/98 & 100-200MB HD).
Don't expect it to run any popular games well - DirectX and low-level support
just isn't there. Also, expect drivers not to exist for many of the devices
you attach - check makers web sites for latest info.
It still crashes. I crashed my install simply opening and closing the
various properties & options & menus of what comes with W2K. Believe after an
hour or two of doing this, it simply barfed when I opened the properites panel
of something in the device manager, then became increasingly unstable and died.
Expect your Libretto to run like it was 2x slower - at least that's why my
desktop felt like after W2K got hold of it. Menus, windows, everything just
feels sluggish, even with 3D effects turned off.
Back to Win95B for me. (I'd also recommend Win98 with 98lite.net as well on
Librettos, esp. if you want USB support).
