I'm running RedHat 6.2 (with an option of either Gnome or KDE) on my Lib 50
(32MB ram / 3GB HD). Screen redraws are a little slow but acceptable.
Suspend to disk works fine. PCMCIA works OK. Haven't tried IR or sound.

Installation was a breeze (this is from memory, so it's close to correct
;-). I used Partition Magic to create an ext2 partition and a Linux swap
partition. I copied (using Win95) the base and RedHat folders to the root
directory of a FAT16 partition on my HD (takes ~500MB, so if you have the
original 800 MB drive this won't work for you), copied loadlin.exe,
initrd.img and vmlinuz from the dosutils(?) folder to the same partition,
then restarted in MS-DOS mode and ran "loadlin vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img".
Told it to install from the HD (it'll ask what partition the two install
folders are on, but you can just guess until you get the right one). The
rest IIRC was straighforward.

Mike
