Subject: software replacement
i know that some of you have been losing sleep over the fact that i couldn't
find my office 2000 cd. (yeah, right. . . ) first, thanks for the offers
and the information. 2nd, i thought you might be interested. . .
in order to get a replacement cd, all i had to do was provide microsoft with
a "proof of purchase", which in this case was merely the bar code off the
software bax. obviously, they weren't concerned who purchased it, just that
someone purchased it. they don't even verify the registration product code
#s. (go figure). so, for a nominal fee of $14.95, i have my new software
coming. (yeah, i know, i could have borrowed it for less than that, but i
have too many computers to keep running to not have the cd in hand.)
i'll keep this one in a place i can find. thanks again for your help.
