Kim,

(1) any sufficiently complex technology is indistinguishable from magic,
(2) magic requires spells
(3) microsoft magic appears not to work too well

Therefore: if office 2k has a spell checker, it must be broken. Perhaps it 
needs another pentangle, or the sacrifice of a few grains of rice.
