On your second question:

It is ideal to connect the Libretto to your desktop machine through a 
network. You can then use the CD-ROM drive in that computer. It does not 
always work to install software directly from CD-ROM through the network 
but if you find that to happen you can always copy the necessary files from 
the CD-ROM to your Libretto through the network and run the installation 
locally on the Libretto. This should work most of the time.

By the way. You might want to limit the amount of quoted text in your messages.
