I would recommend Nesticle. I have only one NES game that I played
way back when, and haven't checked up on Nesticle since then. But from what
I recall, it was the best when I chose it. It only resides on one of my
older desktop systems. Humm, I should check out what advances have been
made on it since then...
Now all the emulators I run on my Lib are ZSNES (super nintendo /
super famicom), Raine (Taito arcade systems, Raine is now discontinued, and
the author never got around to implementing transparencies and even sound
support :( ), and the best of them all, Mame (emulator of many classic
arcade games, mario bros, dig-dug, galaga, and /hundreads/ of others, even
games that are a couple of years old)
As many can guess, I plan on taking a big used arcade cabinet and
gutting it, placing in a svga monitor and pentium 450mhz system (you'd be
suprised at how cheap the mboard and cpu combos are now) and a cd-rom disc
changer and burning every game rom in existance onto a stack of cds and
setting up the system to do nothing but emulation, classic arcade style. :)
