You have got to be thinking of something else. Back when my desktop
system was a 486DX2-66, I tried /every/ SNES emulator there was, none even
got past 5 frames per second. Gameboy and NES emulators ran far better
though, but I got no SNES emulator to run even slightly good on it, even
with sound support completely shut off.
It's amazing the tricks memory can play on someone sometimes.
