I have been using it with Win98 which came on it and Delorme Street Atlas Ver7. I had no thermal shutdown problems at all until I upgraded to Street Atlas Road Warrior Version which has voice control. It is a resource hog and does cause a thermal shutdown. My solution was because of the design of my dash I could hang the edge off the dash and direct the air condition on the bottom. However I don't know what will happen this winter. I probley will send back the RWE of Street Atlas as it has a lot of problems with the MS Voice model and the Yamaha OPL3 sound chip. It also takes forever to boot up compared to Ver 7. The voice direction was nice though when it worked.
