Oopsy! (thought you were only looking at the LCD panel itself, not the
backlight)
The DC input voltage into the LCD display usually only goes as high as 30V .
However, the seperate -backlight inverter- however, produces AC voltages high
enough to kill you.

You may be able to get the broken part seperately if you can identify the
part and locate it. However, that tends to be very, very hard as LCD panels
and such tend to come in one piece most of the time. I'd look closely at the
exploded view of the Libretto on my site, find the part # if possible, and
contact www.micsol.com if it is an individual part.

Has hints as to how everything in a 6" Sharp LCD panel works, and it is similar
enough to most other LCD panels that you may be able to figure out everything
in your Libretto, and a workaround.
