Yup - you can't trust the msdos fdisk to do this - it asks the bios how big
the disk is and the bios lies...or not...
If you format in the machine, the bios reports the size as the full disk
size minus 34M and that's what gets formatted - but windows thinks that's
all that's there and will report 100% usage.
You need to check it with a system that doesn't use the bios to get the disk
stats - e.g. linux.
