Isolate the problem source.
If you suspect overheating, drop the libretto on a blue-block (or big pack of
ice), or go outside if you're in the north east US right now where it's
snowing, and run it. If it shuts down still despite the cooling, then you've
got some other problem at hand.

Is it anything else? eg. does it do the same thing with the AC plugged in? If
so, then it's not the main battery contact at fault.

Is it the CMOS battery inside the libretto dying? Two tiny watch-battery like
cells can go and they'll cause trouble.

Is anything loose? The keyboard is the easiest check - simply pop off the top
plastic slim cover bar, unscrew, and check to make sure the ribbon cable is
securely attached to the MB and not corroded. After all, if the keyboard
accidentally simulates a CTRL-ALT-DEL, you'll get the same sort of thing.

Is anything stuck in the reset hole on the side of the Libretto?

Do you have a virus on the Libretto?

Is extra RAM securely seated (under the keyboard if you've added any)? Same
with HD?
