Hibernation / Drives Bigger than 8GB / Linux This should be on someone's web page, but I just put a 20 GB in my 70ct. I did the following 1) created the max-size 8 GB default partition with boot floppy with Win98se on the libretto 2) used a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter (a really good one) to hook the drive to my toshiba M500D server (I found a local Boston computer store that sells these if someone needs a source) 3) used Partition Magic 4.0 (yeah it's old) to create another partition to use all available space (minus 100 MB) from the end of the disk 4) Slapped the drive back in the Libretto and formatted the second partition So far it has hibernated a few times and it hasn't killed the drive. The only thing I need now is an Adaptec 1460A slim scsi card since I gave away my Sony PRD-650 to my sister. Does anyone have a spare for cheap? Thanks to someone on the list who listed the procedure before. -Eugene- _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------UNSUBSCRIBE------- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=cmd:unsubscribe --------UNSUBSCRIBE DIGEST------ Use above but add DIGEST to the subject line... **************************************************************
