I just started using GPS with my 50CT a couple of weeks ago myself. The
software I'm using is DeLorme's Street Atlas USA Road Warrior Edition. I
didn't like the display on my Libretto at first, but I set the screen
resolution in windows 95 to 800x600 and the map portion of the window fills the
entire screen.
It works very well, except that it takes forever to start up the program. It's
making me consider overclocking.
My GPS unit is a Garmin 12MAP
I also found that my 50CT interferes with the GPS unit. I had the external
antenna mounted on the inside of my windshield. With the computer only a
couple feet away, the signal strength from the satellites was reduced when the
computer was on. Sticking the antenna on the outside of my truck cured that
problem.
