I used to have an email from Man & Machine about this process but I can't find it.
What I recall is they apply an antiglare film on the front of the screen
and a brightness enhancing film on the back of it. The brightness
enhancing film is supposed to reflect light from the lamps through the
screen instead of getting lost. Actually I have no idea how it works.
I have searched around the web and have added what information I could
find about this film stuff below.
I wouldn't recommend this $149 modification (I called today & checked)
if you mainly use it indoors. I can't even tell the difference when
I am working on it inside. Outside is a different matter, though,
it is a big improvement. M&M says it increases the brightness by 75%.
