Subject: Splitting and upgrading!
Hi folks.
I am in the process of replacing my 100ct with a 110ct and am not sure about
the following. If I swap the hard drives between the machines, will the new
one then run the same as my old one, just faster or is their anything in
Win98/software that links the operating system to the machine/processor??
One of my reasons for upgrading is that the screen/hinge is a bit knackered
on my old one. Does anyone have any experience with the wiring that link the
base part and lid? I am playing with the idea of splitting them and
extending the wiring for in-car/GPS navigation use. I could then dash mount
the screen with the "gubbins" all discreetly out of the way, maybe in the
lid of the drivers side glove compartment. Any thoughts??
