Subject: Re: Anyone with a Linux (preferrably Redhat v7) boot-up floppy?? Have
problems installing LINUX on my Libretto 70CT

Hi,

I run Linux on my 70CT, but it's LFS -- Linux From Scratch. I've loaded
RedHat 6.2 on a 50CT though... I loaded it on a desktop, then swapped the
hard drive into the Libretto -- much easier than messing with boot disks,
zip drives, whatever. A boot-up floppy would have to either be a standalone
floppy (the net boot floppy is a single floppy but I don't know if it works
with your network card plus it requires a good connection to an FTP server)
or get the kernel support for Libretto FD built into the kernel on your boot
disk. I have no idea if that kernel support is kept current, or where to get
it. I also don't relish the idea of making a custom boot disk.

Since I have a working 70CT running Linux, let me know if I can do anything
to help you get started, but really, your easiest route is to slap the hard
drive into a desktop and load it that way. Just one guy's opinion, you
don't even owe me the traditional $0.02!

Good luck,

David
