Um - one thought with the x install - is it X3.6 or X4.whatever?
The XF86Config I sent was for 3.6 (or maybe even 3.5) and 4 does things
completely differently. But other than that, and assuming that you have the
svga driver installed, there shouldn't be any problems. The XFree stuff is
separate from the installation packager.
For the record, I just acquired a 70 mobo and I've stuffed my HD in, no
problems, X comes up fine just as it always did.
