Subject: Here we go again - 30Gb. drive questions
I've spent alot of time reading as much as I can about the large H.D.
upgrade on the Libretto but I'm still left with a few questions.
I have a Libretto 110 32 meg. (soon to be upgraded to 64meg). The original
4Gb Toshiba drive and a 30Gb Toshiba drive.
The plan: To run Windows 98 (Its paid for and came with the machine.) and
have access to more than 8.4Gb.
To install and run RedHat Linux 7.2
--- all on the 30Gb drive
The questions:
To get Windows to see more than 8.4Gb I'll need an overlay program.
(Planning on using EZmaker).
With the overlay program running, where will Windows 98 place the
software hibernation partition? I've read it will be at the physical
end of the large drive? Without the overlay I'm aware the hibernation will
be at the 8.4Gb boundry.
Will the overlay software cause any problems with the Linux
?
regards, Perry Frayn
