Subject: RE: USB TV Tuner

Hi

I have purchased two TV tuner, the first one
was a PCMCIA tuner (Nogatech) it was junk.
It was several years ago, I don't know anything
about there newer models.

The second one was a USB Lifeview tuner, I paid $79,
(http://www.lifeview.com/Sales/Catalog/catalog.html)

This one works a lot better than the PCMCIA model, it work
without power on my larger notebook and desktop, on the Libretto
I need the PCMCIA to USB adapter my is a ADS model that
requires power. But the tuner also requires, the tuner come with
a pass through ps/2 connector to power the tuner. With that power
to the tuner, the adapter work without power.
It work great, the W2k interface works better than the Win98.

I'm looking for a PCMCIA to USB adapter that
requires no power, so I can use a USB keyboard and mouse
without power. If anyone know of model please post brand name?

thank you

ps I think the tuner now goes for $59
