Yes. No, unless you use W2K/XP or Linux, which can see the entire HD w/o additional software such as IBM's free Disk Manager (only works with IBM HDs). Otherwise, you'll only see up to the 8.4GB the BIOS allows you to see under DOS. My site for some more info, esp. the FAQ section. Basically, you'll have to split the HD into at least two sections to avoid having the 8.4GB area (1023-1024 cylinder and up or thereabouts) being overwritten by the BIOS during hibernation to disk.
