I think they call it green lantern or something like >that.. And its part os the fbi deal.. The 'keylogger' was just a part of the Back Orifice that The Cult of the Dead Cow released a couple years back. That little bit of code opened a few eyes! Now that was a while ago... I'm always curious about what guys like that have come up with recently. It's a constant battle back and forth with these things. >The system you are talking about listens to phone comunications and there >are 3 of the super computers one in canada one in the us and one in GB.. >And no they cant hack your computer.. "The system" I'm talking about? You mean Eschelon? It's a bit more involved than just listening to phone calls! And involves Australia, New Zealand in addition to USA, Canada, and GB... though I don't think any government agency has acknoledged its existance at this point. >Id like to see how this stuff will hold up in the us courts Well, some European countries... notably France (one that I've read about at least), are already a bit upset about the possibly that data in various French corporation's computer systems being compromised by Eschelon. I doubt they'll have much recourse in any court system since, unless I'm wrong here, Eschelon doesn't offically exist to begin with. But that's the French... no one pays them any attention anyway ;-P Matt _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
