The 'keylogger' was just a part of the Back Orifice that The Cult of the 
Dead Cow released a couple years back.  That little bit of code opened a few 
eyes!  Now that was a while ago... I'm always curious about what guys like 
that have come up with recently.  It's a constant battle back and forth with 
these things.

"The system" I'm talking about?  You mean Eschelon?  It's a bit more 
involved than just listening to phone calls!  And involves Australia, New 
Zealand in addition to USA, Canada, and GB... though I don't think any 
government agency has acknoledged its existance at this point.

Well, some European countries... notably France (one that I've read about at 
least), are already a bit upset about the possibly that data in various 
French corporation's computer systems being compromised by Eschelon.  I 
doubt they'll have much recourse in any court system since, unless I'm wrong 
here, Eschelon doesn't offically exist to begin with.  But that's the 
French... no one pays them any attention anyway ;-P
