With all the talk about HD's, if you are not fond of eBay, you could just go to spartantech. They have a full listing of Toshiba and IBM laptop HD's, including the Toshiba 40GB 9.5mm tall unit. http://www.spartantech.com/Items/NotebookDrives.asp Last year when we were looking immediately for a 20GB laptop HD, they had some great prices and were able to ship overnight for us. By buying the HD from spartantech and the aluminum HD chassis from another vendor, we saved $400.00 off of the "Toshiba" upgrade part. I think that I used them also a few years ago for my old Toshiba 2115CS HD upgrade.
